Tea

As a number one fan of the UK, I am often asked what tea I drink. I don’t really have a brand I stick to. I’ve been drinking Twinings tea for years, I often visit their shop on Fleet Street in London. But then I can never walk by Whittard’s shop in Regent Street when I’m there. The last time we brought tea in the UK was at Whittard’s on the Style Mile in Glasgow.

Vrienden die weten dat ik een fan van de UK ben vragen mij vaak welke thee ik drink. Ik heb niet echt een merk waar ik het bij houd. Twinings thee drink ik al jaren en ik bezoek vaak hun vlaggeschip winkel op Fleet Street in Londen. Maar ik kan ook niet voorbij de winkel van Whittard in Regent Street wandelen. De vorige keer dat wij in de UK thee kochten was bij Whittards op de Style Mile in Glasgow.

Tea for Two?

I know where they sell fine tea in London.  On the Strand, direction Trafalgar Square, past Temple Bar and the courts of justice.  Cute don’t you think?  It is not a shop, behind this unique piece of architecture are the modest offices of Twinings fine Chinese tea.

 

Ik weet waar ze in Londen fijne thee verkopen.  Langs de laan die bekend is als “The Strand”, richting Trafalgar Square, voorbij Temple Bar en het gerechtshof.  Mooi en uniek, vind je niet?  Dit is eigenlijk geen winkel, achter deze bescheiden ingang vind  je de kantoren van Twinings fijne Chinese thee.
