Whisky Cake

Our eldest boy’s birthday today and isn’t it amazing: end of October and we had desert in the sunshine in the garden. I took a Glenfiddich whisky cake along and a bottle of the stuff used to make it.

Onze oudste zoon verjaarde vandaag. Ongelofelijk: eind oktober en wij namen het dessert buiten in de tuin in de stralende zon. Ik nam een Glenfiddich whisky cake mee voor de gelegenheid en een fles van het goedje waarmee het gemaakt werd.

Coffee Elevated to Art

I have started drinking coffee in Baristas75 again, the place has new owners. It is in the same street as my shop, so that makes easy for me to drink there. The people are nice and they elevate coffee to art. I love this beetroot cappuccino, they call it Pink Heaven.

Ik drink terug koffie in Baristas75, de tent heeft nieuwe eigenaars. Je vindt het in dezelfde straat als mijn winkel, dus gemakkelijk voor mij om er binnen te lopen. De uitbaters zijn vriendelijk en ze verheffen koffie tot kunst. Ik ben gek op deze cappuccino met rode biet. Ze noemen het Pink Heaven.
